NI-VISA uses a plug-in model to support bus communication. Some third-party companies have developed such plug-ins to support their controller hardware or custom communication protocols (z.B.
proprietary protocol for Ethernet communications). If you use such a plug-in, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid NI-VISA license (the same licensing rules apply). In some cases, you can obtain such a license directly from the third-party company if you have an OEM agreement with National Instruments. What version of NI-VISA do I have for the provision? If you purchase a license to make NI-VISA available, you only have the right to distribute the same version of NI-VISA that was originally used for the development of the application.
